This album style quilt is named Mon Ami, which translates to My Friend, and it features appliqué images, some blocks symbolising the bonds of love, friendship & good fortune.
The quilt features 5 classic old pieced quilt blocks and 5 lovely needle turn appliqué blocks, combined with a beautiful scrappy collection of fabrics. It is designed to complement l’uccello’s larger floral fabrics and some of our favourite medium – smaller size prints and wovens.
The photo is of the applique blocks with pieced blocks in progress. Colours will be repeated throught the piecing in the feeling of the sample blocks.
