Celebrate all your favourite fabrics with this happy scrappy heart quilt that uses a mix of easy hand applique and machine piecing.

'Groove Is In The Heart' has a fresh, modern, vintage feel with lots of dots, checks, small geometrics, flowery florals and a few novelty prints for a whimsical touch. I always like to include a bird or two in my quilts.

The heart blocks are made with machine pieced backgrounds and easy hand applique for the hearts using freezer paper applique to help achieve easy crisp curves.
It was my travel project for a while, so I designed it as a hand sewing project but I have had students machine applique the blocks as well.

"Across the Fields" is an easy machine pieced quilt that has fabulous eye-catching results.

The pattern has been written to suit fat quarters or for raiding your stash.

Mine was made with a bit of both - I started with a Fat Quarter pack and then I added extra fabrics from my stash to give it a bit more eclectic mix.
The requirements list has materials listed for different sizes of quilt to make it easier for you to make a quilt that suits your needs.

“Tickety-Boo” is an easy-going, friendly quilt designed to make you smile. It’s all about saying “It’ll be fine” or “Everything will be Tickety-Boo!”.

This quilt is fabulous for showing off favourite fabrics. Using Ric-Rac is wonderful for its nostalgic references, it conjures up memories of pretty party dresses, picnics and summer days, it’s special to add textural interest to a quilt, a little spark of something different, it can also make sewing blocks with curves on your machine a breeze.

Purely an optional extra to the pattern but it does help make cutting several curve fabric shapes at a time easier.

The template is made with good thick acrylic, and is bright fluro yellow so it stands out from any fabric.

A4 pattern booklet includes instructions for creating the hexagon blocks, basting and piecing the hexagons, step by step applique, fussy-cutting tip, how to make the curve edges and corner circles, with lots of colour photos throughout.

Comes with an acrylic hexagon window template with a 3/4" seam allowance for easy fussy cutting.

'Hextravaganza' is a quilt made up with addictive hexagon blocks, lots of room for fun fussy-cutting and is perfect showing off those favourite fabrics we all collect.
What makes this quilt so wonderful is that the hexagon blocks are appliqued to backgrounds rather than being pieced together by zillions of hexagons which makes the quilt come together surprisingly easily without fiddly piecing.
